What is a vignette?

When we talk about vignettes, we are referring to a mini scene, a visual grouping of objects that tell a story.

In this little vignette, you might think of a lazy summer's day out in the garden. Mama kitty is watching the kitten playing with a mouse. The flowers are blooming, a wheelbarrow has been left for a moment and a little bird is perched on it.
