About our Stencils,

Nature's Vignettes offers detailed stencils that although appear highly artistic, are actually easy to recreate. The beauty of stenciling is you don't have to be an artist!  Each of these stencils has been carefully thought over, separated into multiple overlays and laser cut using frosted 5 mil. Mylar.  With each design a color picture and full instructions are included.  If you wish to reproduce the designs exactly as shown, we offer paint kits containing the colors used.

Our stencil designs may be used individually or in a variety of combinations to create charming little vignettes or murals. You can bring warmth and visual interest to any corner of your home. Whether you wish to add whimsy to a piece of furniture, a decorative touch on a wall, or create an enchanting scene, you are only limited by your imagination.



About the Designer,

Sarah Mitchell is the creative mind behind most of the designs on this website....here is her story.

"Several years ago, I made a discovery that would bring me much pleasure and become deeply rewarding.  My discovery? ...The Art of Stenciling!  I found it was possible to hand paint walls and create murals without being an artist.

Before I learned to stencil I felt I had no artistic ability, but I had always had an appreciation for the artwork of others.  My very first stencil was a design I bought at a craft store, along with a book to teach me how to use it.  I taped the stencil to my kitchen wall and off I went.  Even though I made many little mistakes, the end result was fabulous.  I was thrilled.  I had gorgeous vines trailing around my kitchen.  My friends and family were impressed and I was hooked.  I could paint! 

My new hobby evolved and I began to do little projects for other people.  I found myself looking for particular designs....designs that didn't yet exist, so I would labor over cutting my own in order to complete the project in my mind...and so it began!

Featured on this website is my collection of whimsical yet sophisticated stencils that combine a love of the garden and flair for decorative painting.  It is through the creation of these stencils that I wish to nurture and inspire your creativity."
